Most people who walk into our Wyandotte Street shop describe a symptom, not a service — and that is completely fine. Here is a quick guide to what usually matches what, so you know roughly where you stand before you call. Diagnostics are free either way, so if you are unsure, just bring the device in and we will tell you what is actually wrong.
- It will not turn on, or it is slow, noisy or overheating. That is usually desktop and computer repair for a tower, or laptop repair for a portable.
- The screen is cracked or the battery dies quickly. See screen replacement or battery replacement — these are often same-day.
- It is a phone or tablet. Start with phone repair; charging faults are covered under charging port repair.
- It is a MacBook or iMac. Go to Mac repair.
- Pop-ups, warnings or a hijacked browser. That is virus and malware removal.
- Files are missing or a drive is not detected. Stop using the device and read data recovery — continuing to use it can make recovery harder.
- Games stutter, crash or the PC runs hot. See gaming PC repair, or custom gaming PC builds if you would rather start fresh.
- A PlayStation, Xbox or Switch problem. That is console repair.
